Sweet Summertime Recipes

There are so many ways to eat watermelon! Here are a few of our favorites below:

Sweet Summertime Slushie

INGREDIENTS:​

  • Watermelon

  • Lemon juice

  • Honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cube watermelon and freeze overnight.

  2. Add frozen watermelon to blender until desired consistency.

  3. Add lemon juice and/or honey.

  4.  Enjoy!

Sweet Summertime Salsa

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup watermelon

  • 1 cup pineapple

  • 1 cup mango

  • 1/4 cup red onion

  • 2 tablespoons cilantro

  • 1 - 2 diced jalapeño peppers

  • 1/8 cup lemon juice

  • Dash salt and pepper to taste

  • Tortilla Chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Dice watermelon, mango, & pineapple.

  2. Chop cilantro and jalapeño peppers.

  3.  Combine watermelon, pineapple, mango, onion, cilantro and jalapeño pepper. Add lemon juice, pepper and salt.

  4. Enjoy!

Sweet Summertime Yogurt Popsicles

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups watermelon, cubed

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain

  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Blend the watermelon, yogurt, honey, and lemon juice in your blender. 

  2. Pour mixture into mold of your choice.

  3. Put mold into freezer overnight.

  4. Enjoy!
